Kari believes the counseling process is a gift we give ourselves to move toward healing and hope. She implements a non-judgmental approach by walking with clients through their personal healing journey. Kari helps her clients see hope by utilizing therapeutic approaches to provide structure for positive change. She has experience counseling children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
Kari holds a master’s degree in counseling from Columbia International University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a focus in Community Mental Health. She holds certification in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (Tf-CBT) and is credentialed as a Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT) through the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP).
Kari specializes in is working with individuals who have been negatively impacted in their intimate relationships by sexual betrayal. She also has therapeutic intrest in working with women’s issues, those impacted by family of origin trauma, sexual abuse, grief, parental coaching and support.
In her extra time, Kari enjoys spending time in nature and in her art studio. She also loves being with her family and her dog. Kari has served in children’s ministry for many years and has a heart for individuals with special needs.
