Janae Kachikis, LPC

Janae holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling from Columbia International University and has been practicing as a counselor in Columbia since 2018. Prior to counseling, Janae worked overseas for a global humanitarian organization. Janae also grew up as a third-culture kid and enjoys learning from and experiencing the beauty and diversity of cultures.

As a therapist, her clinical interests include working with adults experiencing grief and loss, anxiety, self-esteem issues, stress, and trauma. She also enjoys helping people explore their cultural identity.

Janae has received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and emotion-focused therapy interventions. She integrates these approaches from a strength-based perspective to help individuals strengthen meaningful connections and develop manageable ways to navigate life.

Outside the office, Janae enjoys spending time with her community, doing water aerobics, and being in nature.
