Courtney started at the Counseling Center in 2012 as a student intern and began practicing in 2014. She holds a Masters degree in Clinical Counseling and a Bachelors of Arts degree in Humanities and Bible from Columbia International University. While she has a many therapeutic interests, Courtney is particularly passionate about working with sexual trauma victims. She is interested in helping clients process their history of abuse and other issues that arise with it such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, anxiety, depression, co-dependency, boundary problems, etc. Dealing with traumatic experiences and facing additional issues, clients are allowed the opportunity to enjoy healthier relationships and a well-functioning lifestyle. To aid in the healing process, Courtney uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as offering Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) as a forms of treatment.
In her spare time, Courtney enjoys various outdoor activities, traveling, and spending time with her husband and son.
