Bobbie has been a practicing counselor for over 20 years and has been with the Counseling Center almost from it’s beginning. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Bible with an emphasis in Counseling and a Master of Education in Counseling along with an Education Specialist degree in Counseling. This year she will be transitioning from a full-time counselor position to become an independent contractor and will be working two days a week. Bobbie enjoys working with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, women’s issues, marriage, and other relationship related issues. She has specialized training in EMDR which is a treatment of choice for dealing with traumatic memories and experiences.

Bobbie is a member of First Presbyterian Church where she has a ministry to divorced women in the Church. Prior to becoming a counselor, she lived and worked in Haiti for three years with Habitat for Humanity. She still enjoys short-term mission work when the opportunity arises. She has a passion for baking, cake decorating, gardening, music and reading. She also enjoys spending time with special friends and family members.
