Qualifications
Reid Wood is a student intern with The Christian Counseling Center. He is specially trained to understand and treat emotional and relational problems as well as some mental disorders. Your counseling may include various forms of therapy depending on your needs and motivation. He may work with you individually, as part of a group, as a member of a couple, or family. As a Christian, he views God as the supreme source of healing. He believes that God uses therapy along with other relationships and activities in your life to bring about emotional and relational well being and wholeness.   • Masters of Arts in Counseling (Columbia International University, anticipated May 2010)
Services

During your first few sessions you and he will clarify your central areas of concern and current struggles in your life. You will begin to set goals and discuss length, frequency and expected number of sessions. If you choose to continue therapy, the next one to three sessions will focus on the history of your life so that he can learn about you and begin to identify themes or patterns which are causing you difficulty. It is of the utmost importance for you to understand that therapy is hard work, requiring honesty, courage and dedication. Through counseling he will strive to help you in this challenging and exciting process of change and growth.

Reid Wood provides a number of services in the area of professional counseling including:
