Dr. Alexander received a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Indiana State University in 2002 after completing an internship at the University of Kansas Medical School-Wichita. She holds a Masters Degree in Counseling from Ball State University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Taylor University. Before moving to South Carolina she had a private practice in the Nashville area and worked as a behavioral health consultant at a primary care clinic. Dr. Alexander’s professional interests include eating disorders and body image issues, grief and loss, and working with people dealing with medical concerns.
